It does take a village- but if you want to trust the village to raise your child for you, you are just foolish, imo. Child rearing by undeputized committee is not something I think works very well, having seen it. I am part of the village raising other people's children- and I don't mind doing it, but the job would be done better if the mothers of our city were doing a better job- dad's too, if you can get them to do it, but 95% of the time, I deal with moms, so I think it will be moms who have to do something to end the neglect of America's teens (and younger children).
