John, I listened to her talk at the Assembly of God church. I think it was Dale who posted the link. It wasn't a prepared speech. She'd been invited the day before and was talking off the top of her head, jumping from one topic to another. I listened because I wanted to know more about her 'will of God' statements. She didn't actually say the war in Iraq was the will of God, but what she said was problematic. It was close to that. I think I know what she was trying to say, but again it wasn't clear.

Personally, I want that clarified and hope the country demands clarification. The separation of church and state is part of our Constitution and has served us pretty well, IMO. Even though I share many of the complaints and grievances of the Christian Right evangelical types, I think that to have people in high office who claim to know the will of God is so potentially dangerous it takes my breath away.

If the press is really going to be kept away from her, then
I hope this will be part of the debate questioning for both VEEP and POTUS. It's time for it, I think.
