Even when unemployment is at record lows the people who are unemployed might worry, and I wouldn't tell them otherwise, but that isn't a very relevant idea. Lots of people worry about all sorts of things in their personal lives, sometimes with very good reason, but that hardly indicates a national disaster, or even an unusual and serious problem. People are going to be unemployed, that's life, normal unemployment shouldn't be something that is useful for scoring partisan political points.

Funny how 'normal' unemployment was much lower under Clinton than Bush.

And Tim, 6.1% is an average.......not the norm. If good economic policies were in place unemployment would not be back down so soon after the last recession.
