I know the veterans were ticked off. I don't see why. He has been anti-veteran forever. They expected him to change on stage? Mac did hold the Grotesque Outrage Perpetrators' feet to the fire for the Bush failures. But, as The Daily Show put is so succinctly, "we are the only party that can right the disasters we created." Still, he has turned 180 degrees on torturing prisoners, Roe vs. Wade and many other right wing issues. Maverick he may once have been, but now the guy will say or do anything to get into that Oval Office.
