Can't argue with you about the contrast between McCain and Palin's convention speeches. I only saw her's. And offer what commentators say.

As for the long term consequences, I expect hers to have much more than his. There was very little objectionable content, all the worst RW stuff was basically buried deep in the deepest deep freezer. And given just how shrewd and devious the Schmidt crew is with the McCain campaign, the decision to keep her off the talk shows and away from the media generally, will be spun such that she has a low bar (someone else has already observed that earlier here).

It's really, in my view, up to Obama and Biden to make the case that the McCain ticket is Bush yet again with the old furthest RW of the Rep Party on steroids. If you liked, oh, I don't know, let's say Huckabee or Brownback, you'll just love this crew. That sort of argument.

We'll see if Obama and Biden are up to it.
