That is exactly what Bush and the Republicans have been doing for the previous 30 years. Not only is that what has been going on, but that is the thesis of all of our social and economic problems e.g. the neo cons made a list of about 70 things right after Katrina and Bush adopted every single one of them. The leading one is to get rid of the public schoool system and replace it with vouchers. Which they managed to do to a large degree. But there is so much more e.g. Ayn Rands theory that greed it good and Milton Friedmans supplyside economics (trickle down) which has widened the gap between the rich and the poor to the widest it has been since the great depression and replaces democracy if you really scrutinize the theory, Iraq, Russia, overthrowing Allende in chile. So I do not know what the hell Dale Baker is talking about?? I would recommend you get Paul Krugmans "The Conscience of a liberal"-it is on CD and Naomie Klines "Shock Doctrine" also on CD. They both discuss in depth exactly how the bush administration has been an arm of the NEO CONS. Cheers,
