He is a huge improvement over Saddam.


We used to think Saddam was a good guy... we supported him against Iran. The ME is, um, fluid.

Nothing is even close to being settled. And it won't be in my lifetime.

They have been saying that about the region for what, 1000 years? So glad Bush finally cleaned it up once and for all. (Hubris run wild).

1. it was wrong to go into iraq under false pretenses
2. conflating al quaeda and saddam was stupid
3. expecting instant democracy was dumb.
4. it was wrong to mis-fight the war
5. we created al quaeda in iraq
6. it was great that we had the anwar awakening
7. its great that we jointly killed al quaeda in iraq
8. the surge was good policy that worked according to obama too on oreilly
9 maliki aint perfect but he is the best we got.
10. limited progress toward democracy is preferable to none.

We should all be able to agree on all or most of these points but we wont. I think you buy into this unlike hard right.
