Idaho has low property taxes and the quality of their colleges and Universities matches the tax revenues. Idaho has more millionaires per capita than any other state.

People living in Lewiston, Idaho travel across the state line to work in Clarkston, WA to take advantage of the higer wages. People living in Northern Idaho travel across the state line work in Spokane, WA for the same reason. People in NOrth Idaho send their kids to school in Spokane because the public schools in Idaho are terrible.
