OK, that makes sense. Have you ever seen the book "The Man who thought his wife is a hat"? It was written by a neurosurgeon who discusses how the mind can change its perception of what they see, their reality, after brain damage of various kinds. It is a remarkable book. And knocks hell out of the conservatives idea that there is just one reality and it is not relative, but fixed. The right wingers think we liberals live in a "fog"-lol because we keep talking about the relativity of reality.
