Gary. Can only speak from my own my experience. But have seen the same pattern occur over and over for years. The same hi level of fear that characterizes important market bottoms also drives people under their desks where they hide, too scared to reach even as high as the computer keyboard.

Would never use this as the only indicator of a bottom. But used in tandem with other sentiment, FA and TA tools it's served me quite well over the years.
