Sam;

That's $4,030 of the U.S. taxpayers' money per resident

Assuming that's true, that comes to 28,210 for the Palin family. And we wonder why we have a budget deficit!

I love that women have children- if they take care of them. We have many wonderful Mormon families in our town, for example, with many many children- but the moms actually take care of the kids.

So I wouldn't want to be down on a mother for having kids she can afford - even lots of kids she can afford(I'm not so crazy about people having kids they can't pay for themselves, though).

There are lots of wonderful big families out there- but I do think having a parent on duty is crucial- especially with a larger family. We only have three, but I wouldn't let them run open loop.

Lol, I guess she makes some good points. But I pretty much lost interest in the first paragraph when she described the girl as looking defiant and stupid.

Way too partisan for me to pay much attention to, but I'm sure there are many who share her attitude. So far though it's looking like McCain made a smart choice with Palin.
