IMO....

There is a universal set of behaviors, values, etc... that produces better results for mankind.

In many cases they are observable, statistically measurable, etc...

At this time, most are obvious to almost everyone even if they aren't religious.

At this time, some are obvious to almost everyone except the extreme left (and other assorted moral relativists), and the mentally ill. LOL

At this time, others are in a grey area and yet to be decided.

I believe in 200 years many of today's moral debates will have clear cut answers the way some of the questions of 200 years have been answered today.

I believe some of those answers are already clear to some people because I believe that some people are more sensitive and insightful about these types of things than others.

I believe there is a huge overlap between the observable, measurable values and that which has been taught by many religions for thousands of year.

Given that reality, either some incredibly sensitive and insightful people lived a few thousand years ago or they had a little help from God because some of the people today who are generally considered to be brilliant still don't get it.
