No, it seems that the decision to sell it was based on a political promise. She used the jet to make a point [we're not a bunch of high-falutin' high rollers here in Alaska despite our huge budget surplus]. There was no cost/benefit analysis involved, simply a political calculation that promising to sell it would make political hay.

In other words, BS and manipulation.
