I don't put a lot of emphasis at all on his community service work- which I didn't think was directly for ACORN, but I'm not sure. He was young, out of college, exploring.
Went back to law school, and then returned, which is an interesting choice for the Law Review President Harvard grad-- he could name his price at that point.
After he returned, he realized he wanted politics. He was extremely ambitious and he worked hard for it.

For me, that is where his experience begins.

What he got from ACORN was probably a lot of exposure to the bad and good of community work. There is no evidence that he was involved with the individual offenses of which ACORN has been accused.
