Frankly, if Obama was going to run, he should have taken 8 years or so and developed a record of accomplishment of his own. This is absolutely true; but you have to keep in mind that Obama was totally a creation of the Dem party starting in '04. This was the reason he, a total unknown, was given a speaking position at the '04 convention. It is the reason he was quickly installed as a Senator. And he is running now not because of his record of accomplishment but because the Dems needed a well-spoken extremist to run in this election. It really is stupid if you think about it. This crap never works and I don't think it is going to work this time, either.

You do realize that in his two years in the Senate, he's co-sponsored four times as many bills as McCain has? >Could have cleaned up some of the embarrassing things like the TUCC membership, the Tony Rezko, Bill Ayers patronships. Nobody gives a crap about those things other than you guys. There's no one who won't vote for him because of them. -Z
