Tonto I don't know what makes people put forth lies on others, in this case Candidates. There's likely much research that has been done on what in our brains and psyches cause us to lie. e.g. Kenneth's response that he is elderly now explains why he is concerned about the elderly and social security-----okay now I understand him a little better. He is elderly and it is a fear for him. So I can have some compassion while at the same time refuting the propaganda that creates these fears. What I really like about McCain and Palin----- McCain brings the wisdom and Palin brings the youthful energy and incisive thinking both qualities necessary for working on problems and the solutions. Both wil bring people to the table with experience and energy while being leaders themselves. mj
