This is part of the "culture of corruption" that I was just talking about. Little things like this get unnoticed because taken individually, they only represent pennies on the tax dollar. Yet the mentality our elected officials assume when spending other people's money is one of entitlement.

I will say that putting the plane up for auction on eBay is going a little far with the rhetoric. But to claim that it wasn't wasteful, or that it doesn't amount to much in the big scheme of things, is to support more wasteful government spending. And that should outrage anyone, whether you're for limited government or for a big Nanny state.
