No, but to pick someone who might is still a deal killer. It means he doesn't understand science or he just wants to win. He seems willing to continue the politicalization of science.

Edit: He doesn't see how important science education is for the future of our country.

Yes, McCain has fallen for the Creationist "Teach the Controversy" nonsense otherwise known as Intelligent Design. So Palin is not much different from him, other than McCain's support of such nonsense is largely put on for the sake of his base, while hers is the real deal. Knave or fool, take your pick as to which is worse.
