By the way did you see in todays times how the orthodox church of russia and georgia are quite upset that there was an intersorthodox war. Add to that the fact that ossetians are of the same faith as well.

No, I hadn't heard that. I am surprised that the church is strong enough in those countries to even make the complaint. I mean after 70 years of secular rule by the Soviets where religion was pretty much outlawed.
