I'm reposting something I posted elsewhere, because I think it's relevant here:

I'm listening to Don Coxe's weekly call -- he describes the recent intervention in the commodities market as "... the most massive intervention of government into the the capital markets, or the financial system, since Roosevelt closed the banks back in 1933, briefly."

And for fun:

con·spir·a·cy (kn-spîr-s)
n. pl. con·spir·a·cies
1. An agreement to perform together an illegal, wrongful, or subversive act.
2. A group of conspirators.
3. Law An agreement between two or more persons to commit a crime or accomplish a legal purpose through illegal action.
4. A joining or acting together, as if by sinister design

Say it ain't so!!

So the 64 thousand billion dollar question is this: does this alter the fundamental picture, or not?
