I think it was CNN I was watching at the time

I just flipped on CNN for a few minutes, and they are still at it, dutifully trying to say it is points scored against Gov. Palin because as Mayor of Wasilla, she took over 20 million of Federal grants for her city. Boy, they would have thanked her for refusing on principle, wouldn't they? They also added that she was only mayor for 4 years (it was really 6) and that "CEOs" they had asked said that McCain had picked badly because it looked like a gut pick and it was a surprise.

Duh, it was meant to be a surprise. And everybody not carrying water for the Dems knows McCain's gut pick would have been Lieberman.

But they are still carrying on with the 'she wasn't vetted' line. Good. Everytime they raise it, the McCain campaign should ask about the Annenburg Challenge papers. As should be obvious to CNN if they had any brains (& I am sure is obvious to the brighter hands on the Obama camapaign), changing the mesage from "Bush" & "change" to "experience" & "earmarks" is great news for the McCain campaign. It segues nicely into a "history of reform".
