My point was:

Even if that plane was unnecessary, it really isn't much. There's nothing, NOTHING that justifies the anti-pork image that the McCain campaign is building for her.

Well, right, that's what federal allocations are all about. But if you're truly a principled "anti-pork crusader," you don't.

Which is exactly why the McCain campaign doesn't mind building her image based on a series of lies... they're trying to draw fire from the left and keep the focus off of the issues, while rallying the base partially based on that false image. And I have to admit they're succeeding a bit. But only a bit.
