The grim truth though is the likelihood of the University of Illinois at Chicago releasing the information prior to the election if ever at all is questionable to say the least. If anything does come out I expect whatever is released to be sanitized first.

I heard Stanley Kurtz, the researcher who got the release, on radio last week. He said the University had given him an index before they stalled, which would make sanitizing difficult - it would be obvious if anything was missing.

I expect to hear from Kurtz regularly through the conservative media. The impression I glean from him so far is that the material is essentially unsanitizable, because the entire project was so heavily politicized. Ayers got money for himself, friends of Ayers on the board got money, Project ACORN got money, and there was precious little accountability and no results. All this is already known in summary form, but Kurtz will provide the details, which I expect will be used by surrogates like Bill Bennet and Bill Kristol for talking points on Fox. Every minute of every day that some MSM type spends talking about Sarah Palin's spending decisions as Mayor of Wasilla only helps provide the opening for the discussion of the Annenburg Challenge. Sauce for the goose, etc.
