"Only 15% of americans have a passport" - sounds incredible to me, living in a country where not having a passport is unimaginable. It is certainly easier to survive without a driver's license than without a passport here :-)

Anyway, it is very American not to vote. I live outside USA, in a place where more than 85% of all who could vote, do it.

Max, I suppose I am an idealist thinking it matters that I vote. I am getting very frustrated lately with results. This whole world bully crap has been made worse by the neo-cons and Bush--a small man trying to prove himself on the world stage.
As for Tora Bora, I remember reading at the time that the Brits had special ops troops that could have been used, but they did not get the call. It is one of those stories that slips out within a few days of the event, but you never hear about again. Bin Laden and Bush have been the best things that ever happened to each other.
I will at least vote for those who believe in science and do not declare, like Sarah Palin, that "God sent our troops to Iraq"
All the best.
