But then a lot of this is silly. If they can keep the race on a visceral, emotional level then they can avoid issues like economic trauma, healthcare, etc. It's the Rovian strategy all over again, a familiar tune.

Well all the cheap tricks seem to be working. Jim was appalled to think that the flag was treated this way. Previous to going to this Rally he was for Obama. Now, a Veteran is not going to take this flag stuff... lightly. Whether it's true or not. Disappointing to me. AND my builder and old codger was here Friday night doing some work on the house and said well what do you think of that woman the Republicans have ? I said well I cannot comment now as I have to see what happens with debates and all. He said well I told my preacher.. now there's a woman I am voting for. I see the tide changing. I don't think all the facts are in and it's going to be an interesting two months. I think right now the Republicans are in charge and the polls seem to support me.
