I don't think a fetus has a "right to life". I find that a stupid idea. But I'm not religious. In a society as complicated as ours, you have to leave room for people to do messy things like terminate pregnancies, and raise their children in bad day care, and feed their kids crap, once they are born. I don't think you should mandate having kids anymore than you should mandate people raising them "right". That doesn't mean you can't bitch about what people do "wrong" in your opinion, but to use the machinery of that state? I don't think so. Totally leaves me cold. I know people often don't get that distinction. Too many people want to legislate their likes and dislikes. There are a few I would legislate, for public health, but not many.
