When you don't know anything it would take months... they're just trying to slap at least a little lipstick on her.

I think the problem they've encountered is that she's not knowledgeable enough on basic issues of national, economic and global importance and would be an immediate flop on the news shows..sad to say, but imo, she is indeed a trophy they've dangled to the apathetic base....

Frankly, given the racist underpinnings of this country, if she weren't so weak a candidate, I'd be very worried about McCain/Palin..

Edit: I view her "barracudaness" as a weakness re: her temperamant not only as someone who governs but also on the campaign trail...I have no doubt that given the rigors of the campaign and her high family stress configuration(infant, pregnant teen daughter), that the snide and biting that Rs are bragging about will bite her(and them)....

For example, she seems to think that FNM/FRE were tax-payer supported entities pre this bailout...

McCain's running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, speaking in Colorado Springs, Colo., said Fannie and Freddie had "gotten too big and too expensive to the taxpayers." The companies, however, aren't taxpayer funded but operate as private companies. The takeover may result in a taxpayer bailout during reorganization.
