The interesting thing is that these are moving averages and according to both Rasmussen and Gallup's representative, the full effect of the McCain convention won't be realized until early next week.

I recognize they call it a "bounce" for a reason, but I find this to be very encouraging news at this point.

They've got Palin stuck away studying up on all the gotcha answers. She had to be able to respond when she is asked who the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs in Madagascar is. But once they bring her out, if she performs well, this will prove to have been the turning point.

It is far from over but I'm certainly enjoying the race more today than I was a week ago.

You know they have to be thinking about replacing Biden. Obama made a major error in not picking Hillary and he knows it. The way he abandons positions I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Biden kicked to the curb and Hillary begged to come save him.
