Yes, he does. In fact, he was on ABC's This Week show today and Stephanopoulos called him on that. He's apparently been complaining lately about people suggesting he's Muslim and implying that McCain bears some responsibility for it. But, of course, he excuses himself completely for all the recent ugliness from the leftie blogosphere. George pointed out that McCain's statements repudiating any such talk about Obama's religion were at least as immediate and unqualified as Obama's own response to rumors about Palin, but Obama still tried to argue the point.

BTW, he also engaged in quite a display of verbal gymnastics trying, once again, to justify his refusal to acknowledge that he was wrong about the surge in Iraq. The closest he can come to admitting he was wrong is to say "it turned out a lot better than we expected", but still insists he was right to oppose it.

Unbelievable squared.
