Further the R's are very likely to create entitlements- it's just theirs will be corporate welfare...

Corporate welfare is not an entitlement. It is subject to the budget process. And has limited voter support. Too few voters in the trough. If you stop a corporate welfare program, you don't get people starving in the streets on cable TV. Corporate welfare is severable. Entitlements, particularly middle-class ones, aren't.

As for wars, yes, they can theoretically start a sequence of new ones but the country won't stand for it. At least not any time soon.
