I'd prefer he do it on his own time. He's what, 47 years old? By now, he should know where he belongs. He's never really thrown himself into any job he's had because the moment he acquires a position, he's worrying about his next move. That must be why colleagues at the Chicago law school don't know much about him. He never joined in. He never published to showcase any scholarly abilities. When in the Illinois legislature he voted "present", which was the Indian guide equivalent of rubbing away and disguising his footprints with tree branches. He offered no meaningful legislation. Inexplicably, the only law he seemed to have really gotten behind was a law allowing babies born alive during an abortion effort to die. In the U.S. Senate, he served 6 months before he began running for President. His only effort at legislation, I believe, was an ill-conceived bill to require removal of troops from Iraq by March 2008. He yearns to be a "citizen of the world" as he told the crowds in Berlin. He wants to convince himself and us that he can talk any adversaries out of bad intentions by the sheer force of his intellect and persuasive abilities. Yet, he was fearful to go on Fox until he and his staff met with Fox hierarchy to insure that he would be treated fairly. He appeared with McCain for the Warren interview, but now wants to provide new answers to the questions to Stephanopolous. Katie Couric gave him at least 3 chances to fashion an intelligible admission that the surge had been successful and that, in retrospect, he would have supported it. Even airheaded Katie couldn't believe that he didn't take the chance she kept offering to clean up his statement. He didn't take it because he didn't know what he should think about it. [He's tried to 'refine' his position ever since.] BO cannot boast of any real accomplishments because he never really worked the positions he had. Steppingstones are just not the same thing as achievements. The only things we do know about him are that he subscribes to a radical left agenda, was born of Chicago machine politics, and has no judgment for choosing his associates.
