Yes. I would like to cut that cost, too. But the continued cost of that cannot be considered in isolation. Obama will initiate costly activities, too. We don't get a line-item vote--we get the whole package.

I am not against further spending - Even if it increases the Debt - if it is made on things that really matter - real help for the poor and middle class

I'm not against carefully targeted and limited spending. However I don't think "helping" the middle class with handouts is the job of the federal government.

Have you costed that out? Sounds like ideology, not economics, to me. From a cost perspective, I see mostly money pit.
