The RNC was afraid of Hillary but not Obama because rednecks will NOT naturally vote for a black man with a name like Hussein Obama(some say Osama),and with family Muslim background(some say he is too). The Muslim issue bothers many, and is worse than the skin color the educated southerner. He also sounds much like MLK Jr. who rednecks can't still accept after all these years. Even a day off in honor of MLK is swallowed hard especially by white southerners. OTOH, Hillary is an open book. Bill was a great president, Monica notwithstanding. no surprises were expected. In sum, Obama needs Hillary NOW. I'm for Obama today, but this election was supposed to be easy...something's not clicking...
