Obama's education plans are all about providing assistance to the States, so there's no conflict with your view. Think about that a minute. What, then, would be the point of a middleman providing only "assistance"? What kind of "assistance" do the states need?

Lets be clear, illegal aliens are major contributor to many of the problems our politicians attempt to address. Health care costs, class room over crowding, taking jobs from citizens / lowering wage scales, etc. On the subject of education I see all this talk about improving what is going on in the class room. Then Obama wants 0-5 program because so many inner city women are not capable of raising their kids properly. Until these women refrain from bearing kids to men who dont support them all the investments wont make a difference. As discussed here if the kids are not motivated they wont learn. They probably see at best a job in McDonalds or entertainment or sports. Why are they not motivated? Obama sat in a church for years where they degraded successful blacks like C Rice and C Thomas because they were conservative. His efforts with the $110,000,000 Annenberg Challenge were a failure. He worked for many years in Illinois, what are some of the accomplishments? Especially when asking for more money when this effort failed to deliver.
