Interesting essay. Yes, there is a line that goes from Plato --> Strauss--> Kristol-->Neocons.

They are, IMHO, brilliant idiots for the most part. Although some of them are just one of those two descriptors.

Terrific piece. I meant to post something about it but I think I forgot. I was unaware of the link between neo-cons and fundamentalists at this level. Certainly the political level but not the intellectual level.
