>Quadbit can only handle ten programming cycles
I think this is correct, Bertrand Cambou mentioned it a couple of CC's ago that quadbit was a practically write-once thing.

At first I thought flash that is only a couple of times rewritable would be useless, but after giving it some thought I've changed my mind. I can think of the following usages:
- console game cartridges
- music
- consumer electronics devices that are not end-user upgradable.
I wouldn't be surprised if it could replace mask rom completely, and even if it doesn' t get as cheap as mask rom, easier inventory management (only one device needed, instead of a whole set of different roms) may make it cheaper.

Woerns, I cant believe the following from the link:

I think the info is about right.

WRT SPSN going back into NAND I remember Cambou saying SPSN decided not to compete against NAND about a year ago. So obviously SPSN changed its mind in between then and now.

From what I heard on the call, they´re still not really planning to compete against NAND (of course one could argue that NAND in combination with Dram and NOR are already competitors, sort of), but are going for a very specialized niche that is supposed to help them sell their NOR parts. They won´t even produce the stuff in-house.
