It's always an effort to choose between your reason and your emotions. It is the job of Karl Rove and Co. to place you and other potential voters in a straightjacket of political correctness. Subjects such as POWs or parenting become taboo under such a scheme, and many ideas worth pondering are left unexamined when the subject becomes taboo. I'm sorry if it distresses you when I bluntly write as if those taboos don't exist, but they are important subjects and deserve to be considered. You don't have to agree with me, but you owe it to yourself to react to the ideas, and not just the sybolism. TP
