Personally CJ, I can't imagine my wife carrying a kid AND being a mother to four children AND governing one of the largest states in the union. Therefore, to tell you the truth, I can't say for sure whether her actions should be considered "odd."

Suffice to say that we now know enough of the story with her pregnancy and her daughter's pregnancy.

It certainly is not normal for a "normal" pregnancy. But it is normal to wait until late 4th month, up to which period, miscarriages happen. Because then you have to discuss somewhat painful topic of miscarriage a lot more often than a normal person cares to.

With a Down Syndrome babies, I imagine (I don't know for fact) that miscarriages happen more often.
