And thats my point. I am an equal opportunity cant stander. I take my politics serious even from the partisans. I always listen to what matthews has to say as i do buchanan and morning joe. Olbermann got exasperated by the success of the republican convention and the palin nomination. Its politics and though its more important than a game, it still is a game.

>>> He's an entertainer, like Rush.

There are two key differences:

1. Olbermann is presented, not as a Rush or O'Reilly, but as a hard news commentator. And in fact, the position NBC was forced to back off of was that of having he and Matthews as hard news people on the campaign. These are not "entertainment" positions as are Rush and O'Reilly. At all.

2a. Seldom does O'Reilly show any bias. Seldom.

2b. Rush, while overtly biased (which he'll plainly state, but Olbermann won't), also presents well-reasoned thought and support for his positions. Olbermann does not.
