Mon Sep 8, 2008 6:18pm EDT

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama narrowly leads Republican rival John McCain by 47 percent to 46 percent among registered voters in a Washington Post/ABC News poll released on Monday.

The poll, taken Friday through Sunday, showed new gains for McCain after the Republican convention ended on Thursday. The last Washington Post/ABC poll, taken in August before the Democratic convention, gave Obama a 6-point edge among registered voters.

The poll of 1,133 adults, including interviews with 961 registered voters, had a margin of error of 3 percentage points.

=============

This is McCain's bounce from the massive publicity about Sarah Palin. It does not show troopergate, the affair, the bridge to nowhere, her pastor problem (not good with Catholics or Mormons), etc. etc. which are stil just in the political junkie sphere.

Send money to Obama and volunteer locally. It is time to BURY the REPUBLICANS.
