As an older guy, let me tell you this crazy chit the conservative Republican's pull is not new. It is as old as the hills. In fact I will throw a challenge out to the whole thread: Tell me one major issue in the entire last century where the conservative Republicans were on the right side and the liberals were on the wrong side. You will not find one major issue in the entire last century I will bet, where the liberals proved to be on the wrong side and the consrvative's on the right side of the issue. Not one issue. Pretty clear tack record if people would look at it! Who do you think was for slavery and against slavery? Who do you think was for segregation and against segregation? For the death penalty and against it? Who do you think was helping the women get the vote and who was torturing them to keep them from getting it? Who was for and who was against: social security, progressive taxation, unions, environmental laws, chain gangs, opposed the war in Viet Nam and iraq, dog fighting, fought for civil rights and womens rights and gay rights. And worse the Republicans call acts of hummanity "bleeding heart Liberals". You betcha-lol!
