Nice attempt labeling my comments as prejudiced. Consider me short on patience for throwing more billions at symptoms and not the root causes.

Any problems similar in suburbs or rural areas are miniscule relative to the depth and scope of those in inner cities. The problem is less one of location and more one of socioeconomic class. More specifically the problem is one of children without fathers in the house. Barack turned out well because he had grandparents taking care of him. Many like him are not so lucky.

I dont know what to believe about Barack. He certainly seems to have been a good empty slate for the democrats to throw all their hopes and dreams. He certainly has little to show for results, outside of his self promotion. I really dont know why he listened to Jeremiah Wright for years. I cant imagine demeaning successful people like Clarence Thomas and Condoleeza Rice projected a very good example for his troubled young parishiners. He is out of his league and Hillary probably would have won the election for democrats, but I doubt the BO will.

Support Parents with Young Children: Barack Obama will expand evidence-based home visiting programs to all low-income, first-time mothers. The Nurse-Family Partnership, for example, provides home visits by trained registered nurses to low-income expectant mothers and their families. The trained nurses use proven methods to help improve the mental and physical health of the family by providing counseling on substance abuse, creating and achieving personal goals, and teaching effective methods to nurture children. Proven enefits of these types of programs include improved women's prenatal health, a reduction in childhood injuries, fewer unintended pregnancies, increased involvement of fathers and increased maternal employment, reduced use of welfare and food stamps, and increased children's school readiness. Researchers at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis concluded that these programs produced an average of five dollars in savings for every dollar invested and produced more than $28,000 in net savings for every high-risk family enrolled in the program. The Obama plan will assist approximately 570,000 first-time mothers each year.<i/>
