I'm not so confident that Obama is a shoe-in. The Republican Rove machine is very clever, great at lying and mistruths, and have the uncanny ability to divert attention from their weak spots. And, it really doesn't matter what McCain's positions are - when he dies/becomes incompetent, Palin will have her hands on the reins. Expect a lot of praying for pipelines, waiting on the rapture, and if I were Bullwinkle, I'd head off to Canada...

McCain is actually a good guy who got stampeded by the Bush machine. He spoke out against Bush and all republicans early on- remember the "drunken sailors" comment was his. The problem is in this term he figured out he wanted to be president and starting walking the republican walk which meant he was no better than the country-destroyer, Bush. Its possible that when/if he becomes President, since hes a one term guy anyway, he might do what he wants which will NOT be to fly with the republicans. Hes actually a pretty smart guy. Palin is the problem for me. Shes an idiot 5 times over. Talk about lowering the bar! Her speaking abilities are about a 3 on a scale of 10, today the news played her speech in Alaska PRAYING for an oil pipeline- what an f-ing loser. The reason Bristol is having a baby is because Bristol is basically teh same as any other white trash- nothin better to do. The reason all these people are so pro life is because they want to bring everyone down to their ignorant level.
