Well we are pretty low here at 917 ft above so it takes a couple of days to build up the red blood cells. I remember hunting up about tree line for 10 days. When I got home I could run up and down our hills without breaking a sweat.

One thing I learned long ago preparing to go out there hunting walking on the flat is not much use for conditioning for the mountains. A stair master or walking up hill is a real necessity.
