biotech bull;

by prefacing it as people who believe in their God but don't buy all the religious symbolism

So they believe what is convenient for them? Doesn't that just leave them to wander astray as it is convenient for them? I was especially interested in this as it applies to kids - both yours and Katelews comments. If you are a kid and your parent hauls you into church and tells you to believe in Christ and all of the teachings of the church - but you don't believe strictly in the teachings of the church - what is the kid to think? Kids are not that dumb to not be able to see right through this. It is exactly why children from strict religious homes often rebel.

To remind you of the next sentence to the one quoted above....A good majority of the congregation is sitting there for the sense of community, tradition, structure and as a moral compass for their kids that their church provides. Nothing in that sentence suggest a belief in God to me.
