They are attempting to reignite the culture wars, because they obviously can't win on issues. McCain's campaign manager has said as much. Obama is attempting to counter by not allowing his campaign to be baiting into the topic switching. We'll see if that works or not. A bad economy has a much more immediate impact on people than anything short of a draft. It will be interesting to see how America reacts. Change and real issues or personality and wedges?
