Well, as a former Catholic, I can remember how the pope said it wasn't a cafeteria - you can't pick and choose pieces to believe in. I never bought that line, and it was part of the reason I 'retired' from catholicism. However, I thought your point was comparing those who believed in creationism and Islam. Since creationism is not a religion in and of itself, comparing the two would be apples and oranges.
