so as a mother of two, would you have felt comfortable leaving one of them, as an infant, while you traveled to another country? Or attended an important function while the infant had a serious fever?

My kid just had croup, and his breathing was so labored I didn't sleep that night. I would have canceled anything that I had to do that night. Could you, as VP or Pres, just walk out and attend a mandatory state function while your child is like that?

Most of us have jobs that can wait if our infants get seriously ill or need our attention. The Presidency/VP is not that kind of job.

Anyway, I've asked the question, generated the debate, and said pretty much all I have to say. So I'll leave it at that.
