I assist new workers with healthcare coverage everyday and they are routinely shocked that pregnancy is not covered, complications during pregnancy are covered for 15 days or something and after that its a "birth defect" (which is what a downs syndrome baby would be considered) and nobody covers those. Non unionized serviceworkers are not covered for any of this, people who buy their own healthcare, small companies etc. Palin, like the rest of you is living in a 50s world with no concept of the business realities of today. Note that I support universal coverage, but I don't have it now- nobody does- and therefore paying excessive healthcare costs for Palin's reckless choices seem unseemly. If you want to pay for her, go ahead write her a check! I'd rather support somebody truly poor than just white trash who doesn't want to work.
