I'm not talking about the lipstick comment, which I think is much ado over nothing.

I'm talking about the comment about the "fish wrapped up in a piece of paper called change." If Obama hadn't noticed already, people think more of the Obama campaign in that sense than they do of McCain's campaign. The polls reflect that sentiment, and for Obama to say something like that tells me he doesn't get the obvious.

Like I said, it shouldn't be hard for Obama to regain the advantage, but for some odd reason his allies on the left are making it seem almost impossible.
